Police are asking the public to identify a man they say is a peeping Tom who committed lew acts against women.

LAPD Detective Brent Hopkins told KNX News’ Emily Valdez the man had struck Miracle Mile, the Melrose District, and West L.A.

“The community raised some concerns regarding this man who was peeping in windows and following women as they were going home, making obscene comments and sometimes actually, unfortunately, opening his pants and exposing himself to them,” he said.

The first incident happened on Jan. 28 in the 800 North block of Croft Ave.

“[The] suspect somewhat disturbingly went back several times that night after he first had contact with her and she chased him away,” Detective Hopkins said.

He added that the man went back at least one other time.

The second incident was reported on Mar. 2. He first bothered a young woman going into an apartment in the 5700 block of W 6th St., following her inside the apartment lobby while exposing himself and making obscene comments,” Det.Hopkins said. “She also chased him out and then he showed up again over in West L.A. a few hours later in the 1200 block of Armacost Ave. Exact same thing.”

Detectives described the suspect as a white or Hispanic man in his 40s or 50s with a mustache and short brown-gray hair.

Anyone who recognizes him was urged to call 911.
