    Suspects Flee Scene of Fiery Box Truck Crash in South Los Angeles

    SOUTH LOS ANGELES, May 8 (KNN) — A U-Haul box truck was abandoned after a fiery crash into a building overnight in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

    Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a U-Haul truck into a structure shortly before 12:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of West Jefferson Boulevard.

    When first responders arrived at the scene, they located the box truck on fire up against a grocery store. The flames were knocked down in just a few minutes.

    A vehicle nearby was sideswiped and damaged by the reckless U-Haul.

    The suspects were reported seen jogging away from the scene.
