More people arrested on UCLA campus 03:36

Over 40 people were reportedly detained on the 3rd floor of Parking Lot 2 on UCLA campus Monday morning.

Reports from the scene indicated that police were detaining the individuals because they refused to give their names or even say if they were students.

Officers also responded to Moore Hall where a group of about 50 to 60 protesters gathered inside, staging an apparent sit-in. Faculty reported seeing the people come into the building around 6 a.m.

The crowd had dispersed from the building by 9 a.m., but reports of other unauthorized gatherings began materializing in other buildings.

This comes as UCLA classes were expected to resume after Israel-Hamas war protests turned violent last week. UCLA canceled classes again on Monday as disruptions continued on campus.

UCLA sent out an alert telling people to avoid the of area of Royce Quad between Royce Hall and Powell Library.
