Isabella Strahan has an uplifting update as she continues to battle medulloblastoma, a tumor that starts in the back part of the brain. On Wednesday, the 19-year-old daughter of Michael Strahan uploaded a new YouTube vlog , in which she shares thatshe will be done with chemotherapy in May after her treatments were reduced.

In the new video, Isabella reveals her update while crying "happy tears" from her bed."My doctor just called me and told me I only have to do two more rounds of chemotherapy, and it's like the biggest thing. I'm so happy," Isabella shares. "So I'll be done in May and I can kind of try to have a summer to feel better."

As theUniversity of Southern California undergraduate student explains, she was originally told that she would have to do six rounds of chemotherapy, thus finishing her treatments at the end of July. Now, Isabella will have more time to recover from her chemotherapy before heading back to campus in the fall.

It's an especially gratifying update since Isabella previously revealed that shefirst began suffering symptoms in early October -- a month into her freshman year at USC in Los Angeles. After testing, doctors discovered she had developed a fast-growing 4-centimeter tumor, larger than a golf ball, in the back of her brain, which was diagnosed as medulloblastoma. Sheunderwent surgery to have the mass removed that same month, just one day before her 19th birthday.

Isabella then launched her YouTube series to document her cancer treatment journey, from the setbacks to the pleasant surprises .

Another such surprise comes at the end of her latest vlog. The teen model breaks down in tears when she's surprised by Sophia, her twin sister attending Duke University.

"Today just got so much better because Sophia just surprised me," Isabella gushes. "There are a lot of happy tears today."

Isabella recently shared that she's been keeping in touch withLSU student Greg Brooks Jr., who is battling the same type of rare cancer.

"We're on the same treatment schedules," Isabella says in the video, adding that they are leaning on each other as they continue to go through chemotherapy. "We keep in touch every day and he's really inspiring. He's the one I keep very close touch with and I can't wait to meet him in person one day. He's the sweetest and his family, they've helped me."

Isabellashowed off the "Pray for Greg Brooks" shirts that she and her family members were all wearing to support the 22-year-old, who went under the knife in September to remove part of the tumor located between his cerebellum and brain stem.

"I just finished my second cycle of chemo, he just finished his second cycle. We're making it through together. Fight on," she continued. "Please just pray for Greg because he's so sweet."
