Buckhannon Stockyards hit with severe storm, suffers heavy damage
BUCKHANNON, W.Va (WDTV) - At around 8:15 pm on Saturday, Melissa Garrett and her family were notified that firefighters were at the Buckhannon stockyards responding to a report of a gas-like odor. The Garretts, who have owned the stockyard since the 70s, rushed over to assess the situation. They saw more than just a gas leak when they arrived on the scene. First responders told the Garrett family that a microburst may have struck the stockyards.
