Folsom Police get 2 new Tesla squad cars
Folsom Police bolstered the fleet recently with the delivery of two new Tesla patrol cars, the first all-electric vehicles for the department. As part of a pilot program to test the efficiency of EVs for police operations, the Folsom Police Department added the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y "police package" cruisers. The department ordered the patrol cars last summer.

Roseville man killed in head-on crash in Sutter County
SUTTER COUNTY, Calif. - A 24-year-old man from Roseville was killed in a head-on crash on Thursday, the CHP said. Around 3 p.m. yesterday, the CHP said they were informed of a two-vehicle head-on crash on Riego Road, east of Pacific Avenue. The CHP said the 24-year-old man was driving a gray Toyota Corolla eastbound on Riego Road. Meanwhile, Manuel Lopez, 55, of Sacramento, was driving a Chevy 3500 pickup with a trailer carrying a Bobcat tractor westbound on Riego Road.
Loomis' Summer Concert Series starts with 'On Air'
Loomis announced the season lineup of the free Town 2024 Summer Concert Series at the downtown Train Depot. On the second Friday of each month through August, bands will take the outdoor stage at the Loomis "Four Corners" downtown Train Depot and adjacent Blue Anchor Park area. Traffic on Taylor and Horseshoe Bar roads will remain open during the events.

Cancer is the disease that has affected us all at one point or another. West Park High’s baseball team held its third annual Strike Out Cancer baseball game against Vista del Lago on Saturday. It’s a special day each year where the team recognizes cancer and all the loved ones battling the disease, as well as those who have been taken because of it. It means a lot to those involved, including West Park head coach Ben Petersen, who lost his mom eight years ago at age 49 to ovarian cancer.
