Stunt leaves teen hanging from tallest bridge in California
A 19-year-old was forced to hang on for dear life after a social media stunt went wrong. The Placer County Sheriff's Office stated that it got a call Monday night about a teen dangling from a rope on the Foresthill Bridge. At 730 feet above the North Fork of the American River, it's the tallest bridge in California and third tallest in the country.

Dangerous Swing Stunt on California's Highest Bridge Leads to Difficult Rescue Operation
Two teenagers were rescued from a dangerous situation on California's highest bridge, the Foresthill Bridge in Placer County, which stands 730 feet above the North Fork of the American River. The teens, one 17 and the other 19, created a makeshift swing under the bridge using a rope and harness. Unfortunately, the older teen found himself unable to climb back up to the catwalk, stuck 30 feet below it. His friend then called emergency services, marking the first live rescue on the bridge in over three decades.
