'Quite a concern': Roseville City Council approves regulations for possible syringe exchange programs
ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The Roseville City Council voted Wednesday to adopt an urgency ordinance to regulate any syringe exchange programs the state implements in Roseville. Rather than passing a ban on these programs like the Placer County Board of Supervisors and other cities in the county, Roseville decided to introduce for a first reading a non-urgency ordinance regulating any programs if they are implemented in Roseville.

Dangerous Swing Stunt on California's Highest Bridge Leads to Difficult Rescue Operation
Two teenagers were rescued from a dangerous situation on California's highest bridge, the Foresthill Bridge in Placer County, which stands 730 feet above the North Fork of the American River. The teens, one 17 and the other 19, created a makeshift swing under the bridge using a rope and harness. Unfortunately, the older teen found himself unable to climb back up to the catwalk, stuck 30 feet below it. His friend then called emergency services, marking the first live rescue on the bridge in over three decades.
