SC House of Representatives election results: Who will represent Horry County?

The South Carolina House of Representatives has 11 districts fully or partially in Horry County with seats up for election this year. Voters made their voices heard, and based on preliminary results, for the next two years, eight Republicans and three Democrats will represent the state districts of Horry County. Incumbents ran for reelection in all 11 districts. While 10 state representatives successfully held their seats, one Democratic challenger managed to flip a Republican seat. Here are the full results. Preliminary South Carolina House of Representatives results District 55 Democratic state Rep. Jackie Hayes will serve another term after running unopposed. Hayes has secured roughly 98.25% of the District 55 electorate, 9,430 out of 9,598 votes. Hayes has been in office since 1998. District 56 Republican state Rep. Tim McGinnis won the election for District 56 with 13,910 ballots, about 63.24% of the vote. McGinnis has served in the State House since 2018. Democratic challenger Jacqualyn Meadow took second place with roughly 36.7%, or 8,073 votes. District 57 In a very narrow race, Democratic challenger Cynthia O.
