LOMGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s now late spring and the weather is getting warmer. It’s also the time we start to get severe weather.

Abnormally hot summer for Massachusetts, NOAA predicts

22News spoke to some kindergarten students from the Wolf Swamp Road School in Longmeadow and they knew a lot about the weather we can get this time of year.

They may be young but these kindergarteners are already learning about the weather. 22News talked to them about all kinds of weather we get this time of year including thunderstorms and tornadoes and why it’s important to know what to do when weather like that is occurring.

Sasha, a Kindergartener at Wolf Swamp Road School told Adam, “Because it keeps you safe so like if there is a tornado it keeps you safe from getting hurt.”

We also talked about hurricanes and where they form. The students said many of them and their parents watch the 22News Storm Team so they know what to wear to school in the morning.
