Locals line up to see inside Decatur's historic Powers Mansion
DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Last week, it was announced that the public would be able to step inside the historic Powers Mansion before the new owner begins restoration. Norma Fick closed on the mansion last September after a tumultuous summer in which it had to be auctioned a second time when the first buyer could not complete the sale.
Rollover crash onto I-72 west in Forsyth blocks traffic on Wednesday afternoon
FORSYTH, Ill. (WAND) — Illinois State Police troopers were on the scene of a rollover crash Wednesday afternoon. The single-unit crash involved a truck-tractor semi-trailer that was traveling on the ramp from US Rt 51 southbound to I-72 westbound. The load being hauled shifted within the trailer causing the semi to roll onto its side.

Towing community remembers life of slain businessman
HERVEY CITY, Ill. (WAND) - The towing community mourned the loss of 48-year-old, Gregory Hostetler, Tuesday night at a vigil service. Hosterler was shot and killed in an altercation Monday afternoon. He was the owner of Greg's Towing & Recovery as well as Five Star Auto Sales in Hervey City.
