Fishermen fighting bluefish at Manasquan Inlet, Island Beach
The bluefish have been in a biting mood as of late with fishermen catching the gators in many locales. They were in good in the Island Beach State Park surf on Sunday. The surf was a bit churned up from the wind but surf fishermen pulled them in at a steady clip. Grumpy's Tackle in Seaside Park heard back from three anglers who went down to the park and caught the blues for two hours straight on metals and poppers. The heaviest one they pulled in was close to 9 pounds. According to Grumpy's they the fish biting.
Middletown may charge residents, businesses a stormwater fee
Middletown Township residents could be paying a new fee next year to address what some municipal officials say is homeowners’ biggest complaint. The board of supervisors Monday unanimously approved the establishment of an advisory board to study a stormwater fee to fund improvements to a system township officials say is antiquated.
