The annual River City Fest will be held May 1011, 2024, and include various tournaments and activities for all ages.

A non-profit organization celebrating 41 years, the DeSoto Parish Tourism Commission’s mission is to promote tourism and economic development in Logansport. With food and craft vendors, live entertainment, a cornhole tournament, a car show, children’s activities, and fireworks Saturday night, there is something for everyone.

Take turns pitching bags in the cornhole tournament at 7 pm Friday, then cool off and enjoy music from the Shane Pon Band. The kid’s zone will be open from 5 pm to 10 pm, with various bounce houses, slides, and games for the children.

The car show will start at 11 am with hot rods, low riders, and classics. “Slammin’ on the Sabine” arm wrestling will begin at 4:30 pm, with all ages showing up and showing out to see who is the strongest. The action-packed Kid’s Buckin’ Rodeo for ages 6-12 begins at 5:00 pm and for adults 13 and up at 7 pm. Watch local favorites buck, rope, and barrel race their way to winning.

Jacob Wheeler also takes the Riverfront Stage at 7 pm to entertain and offer you a chance to relax and enjoy the music before the fireworks begin at 8:45 pm. After enjoying the fireworks, kick your feet up to music from the Adam Leger Band and Wyatt Putman on the Riverfront Stage.
