State seeks court judgment, fines against local oil & gas well operator

City to flush fire hydrants
LOGAN — On Friday the city of Logan announced that starting on June 17, it will be performing its annual fire hydrant flushing. Residents will experience some lower water pressures than normal and possibly some discolored water. “We know that this may be an inconvenience to our valued customers, but it is a necessity to make sure we deliver the highest quality of water possible,” said Eddie Ogle from the city’s Water and Sewer Department. “We hope to be done by the end of that week, but other emergencies may arise and prolong the flushing. As always, we thank you for your patience and understanding.”
4-H club news
The sixth meeting of the Anything Goes 4-H club was held Friday, May 31 at Logan Tractor Supply. Crew Nutter called the meeting to order. Brooks Angle led the American Pledge while Emmy Bell led the 4-H Pledge. Brinlee Helber took roll call with 21 members present. Matt Wideman named 2024 Rotarian of the Year
LANCASTER – Matt Wideman, Lancaster Rotary Club member, received the 2024 Richard A. Benadum Rotarian of the Year Award on Monday, May 19, at the club’s meeting. The award honors the late Dick Benadum, who served the club for more than 60 years and embodied the ideals of Rotary’s Four Way Test. He had 55 years of perfect attendance at Rotary Club meetings, served as the Secretary for 20 years and was awarded the Rotarian of the Year Award in 2015. The award was then named in his honor.
