Hot start to the week, frost chance by the end of it
OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - We’re watching for some big changes this week. Lows overnight fall into the upper 60s to low 70s under partly cloudy skies. Monday will feature temperatures that could approach or break records as highs reach the upper 80s to low 90s. There will be plenty of sunshine and breezy conditions at times during the afternoon. This combination of conditions, in addition to dried crops in the fields, could lead to an elevated fire risk. Be sure to use caution with any outdoor flame-sources and consider waiting until later in the week if you want to do any outdoor burning.
