2 theft suspects arrested in Willow Springs after Oak Brook police pursuit of high-speed mini-van
Two people have been arrested after Oak Brook police pursued a mini-van traveling at high speeds to Willow Springs. Police had to search a wooded area near an elementary school to find one of the suspects.
Bolingbrook Man Charged In Move Over Law After ISP Trooper Car Hit
An Illinois State Police trooper is recovering following a crash on I-55 in Will County. Authorities say the trooper’s stationary squad car was hit by a Toyota Corolla Monday night north of Route 59. The ISP squad car was parked on the right shoulder on Interstate 55 northbound near milepost 252, north of Route 59, with emergency lights activated, handling a traffic crash. The trooper was sitting inside of the squad car with his seatbelt fastened when his squad car was struck by a gray Toyota Corolla. The trooper was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Corolla, 31-year-old Asante Williams of Bolingbrook, was cited for the Move Over Law, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and Improper Lane Usage.

One suspect caught, one on loose after police chase through west Chicago suburbs
WILLOW SPRINGS, Ill. (CBS) -- Police brought out K-9s Wednesday afternoon to search for a man who ditched a van after a long police chase through several western suburbs.The chase started after a theft in Oak Brook. Two thieves in a minivan drove at times as fast as 100 miles an hour down Interstates 88, 355, and 55, eventually ending in Willow Springs.Police caught one man but were searching for the other Tuesday afternoon.The search was underway as of just before 4 p.m. around Howard Avenue and 80th Place in Willow Springs. People were told to stay away from the area.

Friends of slain Joliet woman will be holding a raffle and candle light vigil for Meliss Aud-Headlee. The mother of three was stabbed to death in a murder/suicide on May 11th by her estranged husband who then stabbed himself with a kitchen knife. The two were in the process of a divorce.
After 10 Months Bolingbrook Fire Ravaged Home Comes Down
It’s been an eye sore for nearly a year in Bolingbrook and now it’s coming down. As first reported by WJOL the home at 2 Fairfax Ct., was destroyed by fire on June 11th in 2023. Fencing remained around the home, but it remains a burnt out shell of itself for over 10 months. No one was injured. Crews were on scene there Monday morning as they begin the task of tearing it down.
