Christina Grimmie's legacy shines bright 10 years after tragic passing
One moment, she was a talented girl from Marlton, New Jersey singing in her bedroom.
The next, she was a viral internet sensation.
Christina Grimmie's voice uplifted an entire generation, cultivating a fanbase of millions across the world.
She was among the first self-made internet stars, finding success by uploading songs to YouTube in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
Then, Grimmie's light burned brighter with a dazzling audition on The Voice. She parlayed her success in the singing competition into an album, a film appearance, and tours.
Yet, her reaction to the glitz and glamor was, "All is Vanity."
Grimmie was appearing on tour on June 10, 2016, when she was shot and killed. She was 22 years old.
In her memory, her family created the Christina Grimmie Foundation. With it, they provide grants to support the families of victims of gun violence.
Grimmie's mother, Tina, passed away in 2018 after a long battle with breast cancer. She shares a resting place with her daughter in Berlin, New Jersey.
In the present day, the family continues sharing videos, photos, and even new music from Grimmie on social media. A vibrant community of fans keeps the echoes of her legacy reverberating.
In June 2026, the 10th anniversary of her passing was commemorated with a weekend full of events. 'GrimmieFest' featured three days of activities.
Friday, June 5, an afternoon of food and entertainment was hosted at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Mt. Laurel. DJ Bishop played Grimmie's music and fans were quizzed on trivia. There was also a gallery of personal items, fashion pieces, and more related to her journey.
Saturday, June 6, a benefit concert was performed by The Living Tombstone at the Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia. Grimmie's brother, Marcus, is a member of the popular electronic rock band.
Sunday, June 7, the group took a trip to the boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey. There, Grimmie and her mother have a bench dedicated in their names.

Tropical Storm Rachel Expected to Impact Southern California and Surrounding States | Complex Setup
Once again, the setup remains to be very complex, so it is no surprise that the track remains difficult to pin down with now almost two areas of shift possible. A cutoff low, an upper level trough, and what remains of Rachel all have to interact, with their timing and positioning playing a major role in how this unfolds. Even small changes could shift where the deepest moisture moves, where the lifting mechanism is, where thunderstorms develop, and which areas receive the heaviest rainfall. That is why individual model runs can show noticeably different outcomes. Confidence should improve as these features evolve, but the exact track and rainfall totals still have room to change still.
