Taylor Fresh Foods announced the voluntary recall on Aug. 9 after learning that jalapeno supplier Coast Citrus Distributors was recalling peppers because of possible Salmonella contamination. The affected jalapenos came from a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, identified as the likely source of an ongoing outbreak.
