Iowa women’s basketball begins new era
By Evan Denton,
All of the players from Iowa's back-to-back Final Four runs are gone. That means Jan Jensen and her team are looking for new leaders to emerge.
Going into the 2026-27 season, the Hawkeyes selected Ava Heiden, Chit-Chat Wright, and Taylor Stremlow to be the team captains.
Each player said being named a captain was a tremendous honor.
The Hawkeyes begin the regular season against Towson on Nov. 2.

The One Crispy Apple I'm Choosing Over Honeycrisp Right Now

It was first developed in the 1970s by the PRI (Purdue, Rutgers, and Illnois) co-operative. It wasn't until 2006 that the apple was released for growers. That is a long time in the development process. You don't get rich quick by developing a new apple variety!
