Reconstruction of 35th St. in Moline begins August 28

2026-08-25It's an Our Quad Cities News traffic alert.
According to a release from the City of Moline, reconstruction of 35th St. between 37th and 38th avenues begins Friday, August 28.
The roadway will be closed to through traffic during construction, with work anticipated to be completed in late October.
The approximately $300,000 project includes:
• Removal and replacement of concrete pavement
• Storm sewer improvements
• New sidewalk and ramps along the east side of 35th Street
• Minor driveway improvements
• Sodding and other related work
Drivers are cautioned to use alternate routes during construction.

Missing since 2015 from Columbus, Ohio: 6-month-old Deklon Ford and his 28-year-old mother vanished
Deklon Ford disappeared from Columbus, Ohio (Franklin County), on May 6, 2015, with his mother, Brittany Anne Ford (pictured below), according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Deklon's photo above (far right) has been age progressed to 8, though he would now be 11. His mother would now be 40.
