A new hottest day of the year!

To start the work week in the Quad Cities we were greeted with some very intense and dangerous heat all across the area.

This includes a new holder for the hottest day of the year as we reached a high of 96 degrees this afternoon, bringing our 90 days total up to 15.

On top of these temperatures, we are also being hit with very high dew points in the upper 70s and low 80s, and thus, very high humidity.

With such high humidity, we are seeing feels like temperatures reaching for some, 20 degrees above what the thermometer says in the 110s!

Thousands of cases of canned dog food sold across the United States are being recalled because the products may contain metal. Wisconsin-based Fromm Family Foods is recalling 3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pate Wet Dog Food and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pate Wet Dog Food. The company announced the recall on August 21, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration published the alert the same day.
