It’s only Monday but are we already thinking about the weekend? A lot of us are! And the weather looks to be a little bit warmer by the end of the weekend in the Quad Cities.

After a mild start to the week, we’ll see a chance for storms on Thursday.

That storm chance is pretty low Saturday and Sunday looks to be the warmer of the 2 weekend days.

A widening food recall connected to a multistate Salmonella outbreak now covers dips, salsas, guacamole and prepared meals sold by some of America's largest grocery chains. Taylor Fresh Foods announced the voluntary recall on Aug. 9 after learning that jalapeno supplier Coast Citrus Distributors was recalling peppers because of possible Salmonella contamination. The affected jalapenos came from a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, identified as the likely source of an ongoing outbreak.
