RAYGUN designs super-popular shirts for Super Bowl 2025
By Gavin Waidelich,
2025-02-04
Many Quad City businesses are preparing to celebrate Super Bowl LIX. Davenport T-shirt shop RAYGUN had its very own tee design, but it sold out the day after it was released.
The Cooper Bowl shirt was made in reference to Philadelphia Eagles cornerback and punt returner Cooper DeJean. DeJean previously was a cornerback for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The shirt was released in anticipation for the game Sunday between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The store says they are always working to make up-to-date shirts.
“We have a big platform between the stores and everybody, so pretty much everybody has a big say in what’s going on, everybody’s pretty vigilant of everything going on,” said Ruben Shoemaker, an assistant manager at the Davenport location. “We usually brainstorm on some ideas, and then once we get those ideas in store we’re pretty quick to start getting the screens burned and printing it out and sent to the stores.”
The store says they hope to have more of the shirts available Wednesday.

The One Crispy Apple I'm Choosing Over Honeycrisp Right Now
Learn about an apple variety that is super crisp and firm that I am getting at apple orchards over Honeycrisp this month. It took a long time from when the Crimson Crisp apple was first bred until it was available to be grown commercially. It was first developed in the 1970s by the PRI (Purdue, Rutgers, and Illnois) co-operative. It wasn't until 2006 that the apple was released for growers. That is a long time in the development process. You don't get rich quick by developing a new apple variety!
