Hard work earn myriad of awards for Ord FFA Chapter
The Ord FFA chapter in Valley County, Neb. has had a very successful year with several accomplishments. At the Nebraska State Fair, William Skibinski received Grand Champion Range Board in the senior division and Reserve Champion - Overall Range Board. Bailey Setlik won Reserve Champion Charolais Composite Breeding Heifer, and Riley Ladwig took home Reserve Champion All Other Breeds Bull.

Ravenna man convicted of 11 crimes related to 2023 assault
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - A Ravenna man will be sentenced in July for 11 crimes related to alleged sexual assaults in April and May 2023. Brian Reeves, 40, pleaded no contest in a plea bargain. The sexual assault charges were reduced to 3rd degree domestic assault and strangulation. Prosecutors also charged Reeves with crimes in three related cases. The plea bargain included no contest pleas and convictions related to those cases including one count of attempted used of a deadly weapon, two counts of terroristic threats, two counts of false imprisonment, two counts of violating a protection order, one count of witness tampering and one count of misdemeanor third degree assault.
