Alderson Women’s Club recognizes bus drivers
ALDERSON W.Va. (WVDN) – The Alderson Women’s Club recognized the bus drivers for Alderson Elementary School at their May meeting. President Betty Thomas presented each driver with a gift card and read letters of appreciation from some of the students who ride their buses. State Park Aerial Tram Replacement Nearing Completion
Replacing the aerial trams at one of two West Virginia State parks moved a little closer to the finish line with an announcement on Monday. Scheduled for replacement after more than 50 years in service, a new state of the art aerial tram at Pipestem State Park is ready to re-open this fall. The $12.4 million tram replacement will transport Pipestem guests down the same, iconic 3,400-foot path into the Bluestone Gorge.

LOS ANGELES, Ca. – In the opening match up of the Los Angeles Regional s for the NCAA Tournament, No. 17 Virginia Tech defeated San Diego State 5-1 at Easton Stadium. The Hokies were led by the strong pitching of junior Emma Lemley who gave up only one hit in the first five innings. Lemley pitched a complete game, allowing just three hits with six strikeouts.
