Man Arrested Following Shooting
One person was arrested Sunday night after a woman was shot at a home northwest of Salina in rural Saline County. Officials tell KSAL News first responders were sent to a home in the 10000 block of West Watkins Road to the report of a woman who had been shot. They discovered a woman who was suffering from an apparent shotgun wound to the stomach.

Large hail and intensely strong winds made their presence known in the Plains on Sunday. Winds as high as 100 mph were reported Sunday afternoon in Kansas and hail as large as 3" in diameter in the city of Ellis. In addition to this, a tornado emergency was issued for Custer City, Oklahoma. This storm went on to produce a tornado outside of the Oklahoma City Metro.
