A Model Show: D Street train event a big hit
Scores of people attended the "D" Street Train Show hosted by the Central California Model Railroad and Historical Society at the Porterville Historical Museum on Saturday. Various vendors from local train clubs sold model train equipment, train cars, layout models, and more, and people came to purchase, as well as exchange knowledge, ask questions, and have a great time with model railroad aficionados.

College of the Sequoias and the Fulbright Program are collaborating to launch “The Lab for Wonderful Ideas: Where Virtual Meets Reality.”. The exhibition will bring together art projects made by local college students. The art uses technologies, such as virtual reality, computer software, 3-D printers, laser cutting machines, and other techniques, according to COS officials.
