Defense for man accused in death of Katelyn Markham files alibi ahead of trial
FAIRFIELD, Ohio — The man accused of murdering Katelyn Markham, a Fairfield woman who disappeared 13 years ago, has filed an alibi ahead of the trial. John Carter is accused of killing his fiancée, Markham, in 2011, when she vanished from her Fairfield townhouse. Her remains were found in Cedar Grove, Indiana, nearly two years after she disappeared.

OXFORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVG) - A 57-year-old was seriously hurt after crashing his motorcycle Saturday evening in Erie County, state troopers said. The man from Wakeman, Ohio crashed on Harris Road in Oxford Township just before 6 p.m., according to Ohio State Highway Patrol. He failed to properly negotiate a curve when he went off the side of the road, overturned, and hit a ditch, OSHP said.
