Millersport news: Board of Health holds meeting in Millersport
The Fairfield County Board of Health held a meeting March 8 in the Millersport Schools District Auditorium. Members of the Board of Health are Steven Kapetansky, MD, MPH, President; Brian Oliver, President Pro Tem; Tina Childers and Teresa Wood. Time was given for public comments. Two variance requests were discussed. Division Reports were given by Health Commissioner R. Joseph Ebel, MS, MBA, REHS, and the Health Department Leadership team. Several personnel were congratulated on the end of their probation. A public question and answer forum and board members comments concluded the meeting. The next board meeting will be held at 4 p.m. April 12 at the Fairfield County Health Department, 1550 Sheridan Drive, Suite 100.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — The former athletics director for Bloom-Carroll Local Schools was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for engaging in sexual conduct with a student. Fairfield county – Former Athletics Director at Bloom Carroll Local schools plead guilty to sex crimes involving a minor. Since the incident Chad Little was placed on leave following an investigation. After the investigation, the Fairfield county sheriff’s department, arrested Chad Little, 45, and charged them with two counts of sexual battery.
Police search for missing Fairfield Co. man
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in locating a missing man. Tyler Kuhn (27) was reported missing on Sunday, March 5, 2023, after he walked away from his residence on Hornsmill Road SE, Berne Twp., Ohio. Tyler was upset and had made suicidal statements to his family members. He struggles with drug addiction and had recently returned from a rehabilitation facility.

It wasn’t that long ago when the outskirts of central Ohio towns like Groveport and Canal Winchester quickly transitioned to open, fertile farm fields with prolific crops and grazing livestock. In just the span of a generation, though, warehouses, residential areas, strip malls, and traffic have forever altered the landscape. Some would argue the change is for the better, and society is currently demanding it, but a growing number of voices are being raised about the erosion of the Ohio agriculture of generation’s past and concerns about a food insecure future beneath the pavement, in the shadow of perceived progress.
Pickerington man federally charged for 2021 church fire

250 Plates Event Helps Fairfield County
More than $31,000 was raised at the annual 250 plates event on September 25th held at the Bank Alley in downtown Lancaster. Hundreds of Fairfield County citizens attended to enjoy locally-sourced food, drink, and live music. The revenue generated from the event will benefit community outreach agencies throughout the county, including the Keller Market House and food pantries, in Lancaster and throughout the county. A team of volunteers consisting of Fairfield County community members and students of Lancaster High School, including the LHS baseball team, Key Club, and Culinary Arts program volunteered to aid in the setup, meal service, and clean-up processes of the event.
