    Kentucky corrections officer faces drug trafficking charges in Oklahoma

    LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A Lexington Community Corrections sergeant has been arrested in Oklahoma.

    In a Lexington Community Corrections news release, officials said Netoria Campbell was arrested on April 24 in Canadian County, Oklahoma, on charges related to narcotics trafficking, according to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.

    Maj. Matt LeMonds with Community Corrections said Campbell had been employed since 2012 and was suspended and placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

    Campbell was lodged in the Canadian County Jail and faces two counts of aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs.

    Medical examiner: Noah Presgrove died from ‘blunt force injuries’

    Court documents show Campbell, 39, was also charged with conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Act.

    Campbell has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 13, per court records.
