Bond denied for suspect in massive fraud case in Athens
Bond was denied Thursday for a Georgia minister and car dealer accused in a massive fraud case which alleges he stole thousands of dollars in fraudulent vehicle loans. Reveckeyo Anwann Hill, 38, has been in jail since April 11 on warrants obtained by Athens-Clarke police charging him with 14 counts of fraud from theft by deception, identification fraud and forgery.
Jose Ibarra: Hearing scheduled for man accused of killing Laken Riley
CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. - An arraignment hearing has been scheduled for the man accused of killing nursing student Laken Riley on the University of Georgia campus in Athens. According to the website for Clarke County Superior Court, Ibarra is due in court at 11 a.m. on May 31. At that time, he can either plead guilty or not guilty. If he pleads not guilty, he will go to trial.
