UPDATE: 3rd Street through downtown down to one lane most of next week

The work that didn’t get done by the city sealing cracks on 3rd Street is finishing up this week. Drivers can expect one lane of traffic when passing through downtown La Crosse all week long beginning on Monday, July 6. Work is planned from Vine Street to Cass Street.

Flash flooding closes Interstate 90 in southern Minnesota

Torrential rain early Thursday led to flash flooding across parts of southern Minnesota and forced the closure of a stretch of Interstate 90. A train of thunderstorms rolled over the same areas with a swath of 4 to 6 inches of rain reported across Mower, Fillmore and Houston counties. Rain continued to fall across much of southeastern Minnesota as of 7 a.m.
