Just-In-Time Recreation unlocked its doors in the morning and planned a "celebration of resilience" for the afternoon as it welcomed patrons back into the building. In all, 18 people died in the mass shooting that included two establishments.

Seven people died at the bowling alley Oct. 25, while eight more lost their lives at nearby Schemengees Bar & Grille from the shooting. Three more died after being taken to a local hospital. Thirteen others were injured in the onslaught.

Justin Juray said he and his wife struggled with trying to decide whether to reopen the business but said the widespread community support helped them make the decision.

"Amazing. It's been great," Justin Juray told WMTW-TV about the local community's backing. "We have felt the support and the love for sure. We have the beer special 'The 18 Angels,' in which a dollar of the proceeds is going to the Bob and Lucy Violette Foundation."

Kathy Lebel, the owner of Schemenegees, said she plans to open later, but in a new location.

The body of the shooting suspect, military reservist Robert Card , 40, was found at a recycling plant days after the shooting, ending a massive manhunt for him.
