Springtime fun on tap for Saturday

Northcentral, Pa. — The region is buzzing with activity this weekend, with live music, delicious food, and the arts on display.

Lewisburg Arts Festival

The annual Lewisburg Arts Festival takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Market Street, with over 120 artists and artisanal food booths.

The festival spotlights a diverse range of arts and crafts, from fine arts to folk art, contemporary, and classical. In addition to the artists, there will be over 40 food and beverage vendors. The kids will love the free petting zoo, courtesy of Ashburn’s Animals. The day is brimming with fun for all ages, featuring balloon art by Air Weaver Balloons, hands-on activities from local nonprofits at the Interactive Arts area, and musical and dance performances at two separate venues.

Make sure to save time to meet the Festival’s Featured Artist, Robert Haefner . His photographs will be on display at The Gallery, 15 N. Water Street, through April 28. On Festival Day, The Gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and with a meet the artist session from 1-3 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

Renaissance Jamboree

In Bloomsburg, the Renaissance Jamboree returns to the downtown this weekend, with hundreds of craft vendors, delicious food, live entertainment and activities throughout the day.

The event will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main Street and Market Square, with free parking and shuttle service available from the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds and the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital.

Free entertainment begins at 10:30 a.m. with live music provided by the Clickard Consortium. Children’s entertainment starts at noon at the Children’s Stage, located at Main and Jefferson streets, with Andrew’s Big Show. Performances at Market Square begin at noon with Crosswinds Martial Arts and Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble will stage “Zombie Thoughts” at 2 p.m. at Phillips Emporium on Main Street.

Unbuttoned

The Pajama Factory in Williamsport is hosting "Unbuttoned," a day-long fundraiser event for WXPI community radio.

It will be a full day of open studios, live music, and fellowship at Williamsport’s premier arts and business incubator. The studios and stores at the Pajama Factory will be open for everyone's enjoyment, and vendor tables will be located throughout the campus.

Muther Cluckin’ Chicken and Rusty Rail Brewing will be on hand to sell food and drinks.
