Kent and Sussex Industries (KSI) recently received two generous donations. One was from a dine and donate event at fondue on April 11 and the second was from Lewes-Rehoboth Beach Rotary Club.

“We are so grateful to fondue for offering this option to non-profit agencies,” Alicia Hollis, Director of Community Relations said. “The evening provided us a great opportunity for the community to learn about KSI while enjoying a unique food experience. This donation will enable KSI to continue providing quality programs and services to adults with various disabilities.”

The Lewes-Rehoboth Beach Rotary Club provided a $3,000 grant to KSI, enabling them to purchase two cold storage units to be placed closer to the serving line where participants’ breakfasts and lunches are served.”

“Items like the daily milk, fruit juices and fruit cups can be stored there,” Hollis said. “The large, refrigerated unit replaces an older cold storage unit that has not worked for over a year. A smaller unit was also purchased to be placed on top of the first one to add additional cold storage. The new equipment not only improves our cold storage needs, but also makes our food service line more efficient. In addition, we purchased storage racks for the walk-in freezer to provide an opportunity for more organization and to increase the overall freezer storage space.”

KSI is a not-for-profit agency that provides vocational training, employment, community integration, transportation, day habilitation, life enrichment and nutritional services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex Counties.
