Firefighter Injured, Family Displaced After Large House Fire In California
CALIFORNIA, Md. – On May 4, 2024, at approximately 6:47 p.m., fire and rescue personnel responded to a structure on fire in the 21800 block of Magnolia Drive. Upon arrival, crews found a two-story home with fire engulfing the attached garage. Firefighters immediately began efforts to control the blaze, but within minutes, evacuation tones sounded. Unfortunately, one firefighter sustained injuries and was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.

A 45-year-old Lusby woman was convicted on April 25 by a jury in federal court for conspiracies to commit passport, wire and bankruptcy fraud, as well as making a false statement in a bankruptcy proceeding.
