There were plenty of great performances on the diamond last week, and Rich Garven found some of the best for readers to vote on to decide the Hometeam Baseball Player of the Week.

Congratulations to St. John's Brayden Mercier for taking the top spot in last week's poll with 780 votes (28.7 percent) to edge Doherty's Sam Conrad (508 votes) and Bay Path's Dale Nussey (419 votes) for the honor in a poll with over 2,700 votes cast.

Player of the week nominations are selected by reporters based on coaches reporting game results into the Telegram & Gazette sports department and game coverage from the T&G sports department staff. Game results and highlights can be submitted by email at sports@telegram.com or by calling the sports department at 508-793-9350.
