Casting call for 'Landman' series in Midland, Odessa
Several opportunities to be a part of Taylor Sheridan’s newest television series “Landman” are slated to happen this week in both Midland and Odessa. The first opportunity is in Midland and asks for two photo doubles for the Paramount+ television series. The description for the first photo double is listed as male, white and around six feet tall, 135 pounds, slender with brown shoulder-length hair and a mustache. The second photo double is required to be a Hispanic male and with a five-foot-nine-inch slender build with short brown hair, a mustache, and a goatee.

Last week, in a bid to address community concerns, Pierce County Sheriff's Department deputies joined forces with a private rail company and its contractor to tackle a burgeoning homeless encampment in Midland. In a collaborative effort targeting an area fraught with crime, including shootings and assaults, the cleanup took place along the railroad tracks at McKinley Ave E & 72nd St, according to the department’s blotter.
