Azle food truck park overcomes first month, farmers market debut date confirmed
AZLE — There’s a lot going on the lot at 225 Church St. Every Friday and Saturday since March 29, the space has been home to The FeedLot, Azle’s very own food truck park. While largely successful, the food truck venue has faced its share of hurdles in its debut month. For example, the city has received noise complaints from at least four homes on nearby Locust Street. However, closing by 9 p.m., the food truck park adheres to all city noise ordinances, Director of Planning and Development Hawkins said at a recent Azle City Council meeting.

Krum High’s welding program gets state-of-the-art support from ESAB’s Denton facility
ESAB, a welding manufacturer with a facility in Denton, has donated over $5,000 in funds and equipment to Krum High School’s agricultural mechanics welding program. The eight students who attended the donation events on Tuesday at the newly renovated facility were surprised by the equipment donated to the program, including the ESAB Rebel EMP 215ic welding machine, which will be used in the classrooms.

Copper Canyon selects first police chief
The town of Copper Canyon has selected a police chief to lead its new police department. The Town Council voted last summer to create a police department because the Denton County Sheriff’s Office wasn’t able to provide enough deputies on contract, Mayor Ron Robertson said last year.
