LENNOX, S.D. (KELO) — The Lennox baseball team pushed their win streak to three games, following a 5-2 win over McCook Central/Montrose on Wednesday.

The Orioles used a combination of early offense and pitching to tally the win.

Lennox scored one run in each of the first and second innings. Both runs scored via a dropped third strike.

In the third, the Orioles added two more runs. Talen Eich doubled in Jaxson Bittner. Then Cole Spieler singled in Eich to make it 4-0.

Isaac Bambas would grab an RBI in the sixth with a run scoring triple. Lennox led 5-0.

Orioles’ pitcher Jackson Anacker carried a no-hit bid into the seventh inning. Two outs away from the no-hitter, Clayton Randall would single to right.

He and another runner would come into score as McCook Central/Montrose scored two late runs, but Lennox’s Dayne Moeller would end the threat with a strikeout.

Anacker pitched 6.1 innings allowing just one run and one hit. He also struck out six in the win.
