Leitchfield police arrested a man for using a 12-year-old boy to shoplift at a local retail outlet. On Friday afternoon at 4:25, Leitchfield Officers Ty Whitaker and Chuck Hoover responded to Walmart on a shoplifting complaint. Upon arriving and conducting an investigation, police determined that 24-year-old Brett Kraszewski, of Hardinsburg, had been directing a 12-year-old male to steal over $500 worth of items from the store.

Units Respond To Drowning Rescue At North Fork On Saturday
ROUGH RIVER (06/03/23) – Emergency crews were called to the North Fork section of Rough River Lake on Saturday on a report of a possible drowning. Reports indicated an 18-year-old male from Ohio County went under, but was rescued and resuscitated and taken to Breckinridge Memorial, then later airlifted to Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
