Climb the stairs at Sunday School in the Post District, and you’ll find Understudy, the neighborhood’s newest bar. It’s a place built for lingering. Drinks come in two lists—one with alcohol and one without—so everyone at the table gets something thoughtful in their glass. Fun Fact: The gin and whiskey in the “without” list are made in-house and are super unique! Natural wine lovers will feel right at home, too. The kitchen deserves its own spotlight. Fans will be thrilled to hear the roasted bone marrow is back, joined by the hamachi crudo and crispy duck rolls, my current favorite on the menu. You can reserve lounge tables on OpenTable, while the bar remains walk-in only. Understudy is open Wednesday - Saturday starting at 5 p.m., and guests must be 21 or older.
