Brookeland Season Ends In Extra Innings
The Brookeland Wildcats baseball season ended too soon as they lost to the Chester Yellowjackets 13 to 11 in a game that lasted 8 innings and over three hours. It was a heart breaking game as Brookeland and Chester are from the same district and Brookeland was the district champion and Chester was the runner up. Brookeland had defeated Chester twice already this season.

Woodville businessman appointed to Lower Neches Valley Authority Board of Directors
AUSTIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Woodville business owner is joining the Lower Neches Valley Authority Board of Directors. Lee P. Mann is owner and manager of Mann Furniture and Appliance, Ltd. and the president of the Rotary Club of Woodville. He was appointed to the board by Gov. Greg Abbott for a term to expire on July 28, 2027, according to a release from the governor’s office.
