Service restored after widespread Spectrum internet outage
BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (WCYB) — Many people across the Tri-Cities went without internet for more than 24 hours from midday Monday until Tuesday evening. Just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, a Spectrum representative said service was restored to most customers and would be returned for everyone else by late evening. The spokesperson said the cause was a damaged fiber optic line in Blountville that powers their network.
