Eavesdropping, stalking among crimes in 269 new arrests added to syracuse.com police blotter
The Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard police blotter of arrests from police agencies around Central New York was updated today. The 269 arrests added this week have dates between March 19 and May 13, but most of the new arrests are from the last couple of weeks. Those charged were 18 to 89 years old.

Hochul says gun violence stats are improving in New York
Gov. Kathy Hochul said Thursday that the state is turning the tide in the fight against gun violence. The governor pointed to a two-year drop in incidents of gun violence, including a 37% reduction in shooting incidents in the state through the first four months of 2024, compared to a five-year average. Hochul also said that the New York State Police have seized illegal firearms at a record pace so far this year.

Second Suspect in 2023 North Norwich Trailer Theft Arrested in Rhode Island
The Chenango County Sheriff's Office says the second suspect in the theft of a trailer last summer has been arrested in Rhode Island. In July 2023, an enclosed trailer was reported stolen from a business in North Norwich. Two suspects, Michael Garramone of Remsen, NY and Derek Crouse of Whitesboro, NY, were identified after the vehicle used in the larceny was tracked into Oneida County from security camera footage. Garramone was arrested two weeks after the theft.
