Route 1017 roadwork to begin Monday
PennDOT will be performing milling and paving work on Route 1017 (Delaware Drive) between Mill Rift Road and Avenue C beginning Monday, May 20 through the second week of June. Delaware Drive will be closed between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Emergency personnel and school buses will be granted access while work is being done. Motorists are encouraged to take an alternate route to avoid major delays in the Mill Rift area.

SPARTA, NJ – The flag honoring Police Appreciation Week is flying on the flagpoles in front of Sparta’s town hall. All of the flags including the American flag, New Jersey state flag and POW MIA flags are lowered to half staff this week “to honor all law enforcement officers, federal, state and local, who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty” according to the New Jersey Department of State.
