Laurel to host Day in the Park Arts Festival

LAUREL, Miss. ( WHLT ) – The Laurel Arts League will host the 52nd annual Day in the Park Arts Festival on Saturday, May 4, at Mason Memorial Park.

The day will begin with a 5K race and one-mile Fun Run for participants of all ages. The 5K starts at 8:00 a.m., immediately followed by the Fun Run. The festival will start at 9:00 a.m.

Entertainment will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Mason Park’s main stage and will feature a variety of performances including rhythm, blues, country, popular, variety, and jazz.

Visitors will be able to enjoy arts and crafts, food, and artwork on display by students. There will also be a children’s area for arts and crafts, face painting, jumps and other activities.
