Main Street was still open as of 11:04, but parts of China Street, Mill Street, Industrial Drive, Tunnel Hill Road, Buzzards Glory Road and Ohio 93 south of the village were affected by high water, Newlon said. Ceramic Road north of the village had around a foot of flowing water covering a portion of it during the morning, he continued. The more commonly flooded southern parts of Ceramic Road did not get covered with water. The National Weather Service estimated that between 1.5 and 3 inches of rainfall came overnight, it said in an 8:26 update. "It's more precautionary than anything. It looks like the water is starting to retreat at this time, but it's still raining," Newlon told the Times Recorder. Three people were evacuated through water rescues during the night, Newlon said.
