WASHINGTON - A teenage boy is dead, D.C. police reported, after a shooting in Southeast Tuesday night. Officers are still in the area investigating the incident. D.C. police said the call reporting the shooting came in at 9:05 p.m. The officers who responded to the scene in the 2200 block of Alabama Avenue SE said they found two teenage boys suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Arrest Made In D.C. Triple Shooting
WASHINGTON, D.C. –Three men were shot, killing one in Northeast D.C. on February 21st. Now the DC Metro Police Department has announced that an arrest was made. Shortly after 10:30 pm, a shooting report led officers to the 1400 Block of Saratoga Avenue. At the location, police found three adult men suffering from gunshot wounds. 21-year-old Jayvon Jones died later at a nearby hospital. WASHINGTON, DC - The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA) has financed the rehabilitation of 202 affordable apartments at scattered sites across Wards 7 and 8. DCHFA issued $43.1 million in tax exempt bonds for the acquisition and rehabilitation of this 16-building community formerly known as WDC 1 which spans Anacostia, Marshall Heights and Fort Dupont. The Agency also underwrote $33.4 million in federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity and $6.4 million in D.C. LIHTC equity to finance this redevelopment.

DC to install 342 new automated traffic enforcement cameras: Bowser
WASHINGTON - D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said 342 new automated traffic enforcement cameras will be placed in the District in the upcoming fiscal year. "In the last two years the Council has approved 342 new cameras related to vision zero initiatives," Bowser said during the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget Proposal meeting Wednesday. She said currently there are approximately 140 cameras in place.
