Jersey City Man Sentenced In Armed Morris County Best Buy Robbery, Prosecutor Says
On May 28, 2022, Michael Guirguis entered a Best Buy in East Hanover and removed iPads and iPods from a display table worth $4,500. As he tried to flee Best Guy, Guirguis brandished a knife at two employees, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and East Hanover Township Police Chief Christopher Cannizzo said.
New Crime Prevention Unit Being Launched in Madison; Unit Will Make Home Security Assessments for Residents
MADISON, NJ - It was announced at Monday's council meeting that six Madison police officers were trained as part of the newly formed Crime Prevention Unit. Residents can make a request to have members of the Crime Prevention Unit come to their homes and make a home security assessments. East Hanover and Florham Park Police Complete Police Unity Tour
EAST HANOVER AND FLORHAM PARK, NJ - Both Florham Park and East Hanover Police Departments had men complete the Police Unity tour last week as many local heroes rode their bicycles 300 miles down to Washington DC. They battled harsh elements including wind, rain and cold to accomplish their goals. The tour's motto is “We Ride for Those Who Died". From Florham Park there was Lt. Brian Ford, Sgt. Frank Pietropinto, Off. Charlie Greenstein, and Off. Nick Grande who completed the trip.
