BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Lamont Boys and Girls Club is set to host an Earth Day fair April 22 to celebrate environmental awareness and sustainable practices.

You will have the chance to participate in activities that include seed planting in the club’s Learning Garden, recycling and air sampling demonstrations, and games. Food and drinks will also be provided.

“The Air We Breathe” is a youth advocacy film which promotes the Lamont club’s efforts for air quality improvement. The San Joaquin Valley is known for having poor air quality, but Arvin and Lamont have some of the worst air quality reading in the nation. The film addresses the work being done to clean up our air.

The fair and screening is happening Monday April 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Lamont Boys & Girls Club located at 8301 Segrue Road.
